What is counselling and psychotherapy?
Often referred to as ‘talking therapy’, counselling and psychotherapy, is essentially about achieving growth and healing through talking. Given that a vital ingredient in any therapeutic encounter is the quality of relationship between the client and therapist, it is important that you find a therapist that you feel safe with and can relate to openly.
How I work
In my seven years of professional training I studied all the main models of psychotherapy. This means that I am very comfortable in working in a variety of different ways. For example, some people prefer to express themselves solely in words, while others are at home with exploring images and dreams or using some kind of creative communication. I am happy to integrate a variety of approaches to therapy, so that you can find your own way forward. I work with each person in a unique way. Following what works best for you, I can offer a choice of ways to grow.
